Why Do Women Stay Too Long in an Abusive Relationship??

During October my main goal will be to educate women on how to escape a battering spouse.

One of the questions about domestic violence that hasn’t been answered properly is “Why Do Women Stay So Long in an Abusive Relationship?”

That issue, the cycle of violence, the difficulties in leaving and how to overcome those obstacles will be addressed in the next interview I’ll be doing on Thursday with Lisa Fredette, an experienced life coach and divorce mentor.

CALL IN# 1-866-472-5788
WHEN: Thursday October 30th
TIME: 1 pm PST/ 2pm MST/ 3pm CST/ 4pm EST

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and as a survivor of a battering spouse I know the stigma that is attached to the women who are the victims of these crimes. Over and over again I hear people ask “Why did the women stay with him if he was beating her?” In our interview I hope to shed some light on that complex topic and explain the cycle of abuse that leads to the final blows. I will also outline how a woman can leave or escape her abuser, and go on to develop a full, meaningful life.

Please pass this notice on to anyone who may be silently suffering and needs valuable information on how getting out of an abusive relationship can be accomplished.

Sincerely,
Diane Tegarden

Ohio Teaching Students to Go Thermal, by example

Ohio High School Goes Geothermal
on 06 Oct 2008 by Alternative Energy Retailer Staff

Ohio’s Ravenna High School is the latest educational institution to tap into geothermal energy for its heating and cooling needs. The Ravenna Record Courier reports a five-man crew from Bertram Drilling, of Billings, Mont., has already drilled 50 305-foot holes for the geothermal system.

For the balance of the announcement see:
http://www.aer-online.com

*************

The article goes on to say that they are using this alternative heating method because of the high price of oil and gas….too bad they didn’t decide to do it to help clean the environment (that was the secondary reason).

I’ve seen this same trend ever since I became part of the renewable energy industry. People aren’t moved to use RE to help clean the world THEY LIVE IN, but to save a buck…SURE!

Still, doing the right thing for the wrong reason is better than not doing anything about it at all, I suppose!!

Energetically Yours,

Diane Tegarden

Quote on economics by Lyndon B. Johnson

Top o the Mornin’ to ya,
I was reading about water issues, rights of way, and divers topics, when I found this attached to the bottom of the newsletter.

Don’t presidents say the darnedest things?

“Did you ever think that making a speech on economics is a lot like pissing down your leg? It seems hot to you, but it never does to anyone else.” — Lyndon B. Johnson
By the way, Jack and I were talking about it and have agreed that anyone can either go by the suggested theme for the day or just add any quote that has grabbed your attention recently.

IT’S COMPLETELY UP TO YOU!!!

Huggles and buggles,
Auntie Diane Tegarden

I wasn’t a full time writer until I was stricken down with lupus and had to close my company and stop working full time. What could have been a crippling end to a productive life was at first a blow I didn’t think I’d overcome. Then, after struggling several years with lupus, I found that an organic diet and lifestyle helped to partially restore my energy level and health, so that I could start to think about working again.

That’s when I decided to do what I’d always wanted to do. At first, I felt I couldn’t justify letting someone else support me while I launched this new career at the ripe young age of 48!! Then I just allowed it to happen, and it’s wonderful beyond words.

Hope to “see” you on the radio next Thursday!!
