Greetings and good health to everyone!

Thank you for your post about the Stranniki, I work to live my live in accordance with theirs and believe that more people ought to learn of them. The Tsarina Alexandra and Carolly Erickson do not properly understand the Stranniki because they both come from a perspective very much different. The Stranniki are Old Believer Christians who kept the old practices of Christianity going back to the time of Christ. It is disparaging to say the Stranniki cast spells. One persons godly prayer might be considered anothers evil spell. So it’s not surprising to see the connotation. There are two types of Stranniki, those who lived a strict Christian life by not working in the present Antichrist world, and the Home Christians who were at an introductory level to the more strict way. The Home Christians did often provide clothing and food for their more stricter separated kin. In return the strict Stranniki would teach and lead worship services, as well as offer other labors. I am aware of Peace Pilgrim, but she was not exactly a Stranniki. If we look close enough everyone has similarities. Oh, one more point, for the Stranniki dancing is strictly forbidden. I have a blog where I post about things that relate to the Stranniki. http://stranniki.blogspot.com/

Polonius, it is truer than you realize...the actual root of the word history is the Greek word histor, which means...a learned man. And so, when societies changed from matriarchal to patriarchal, the evidence of female leadership was obliterated (a good way to hide the truth) and now eons later people actually believe there was never any other way that people lived, despite the archaeological evidence to the contrary.
As they say...to the winner go the spoils. When armies in ancient times fought they'd send two bards to the top of a hill to watch the battle, guess which one got to tell their version of the story?

I remember her. Unfortunately for when she was assassinated. Fear and Jealousy drive many to rash acts for no real reason, other than selfishness.
Fortunately, this usually does little to stop courageous people.

I am the great great grandson of Catherine Filene Shouse. I did not know her except for what I have been told by my family. I hope to be an accomplished person as she was. I wish I had the chance to know her and for her to know me. My grandmother is the grand daughter of Catherine Shouse. I hope that one day i will get to go to Wolf Trap to see what she has accomplished (even though she accomplished much more then that) I may not have ever met her but I am proud to be her great great grandson. My name is Justin Hill
