Word for the day….climb every mountain

I found today’s word in a crossword puzzle, which are a source of inspiration and fun for me! Talk about being flexible, this little noun ARETE, has two very different meanings:
melly 20081. the aggregate of qualities making up a good character.
[1930; from Greek: aretḗ]

Blue hills2. a sharp, rugged mountain ridge produced by glaciation.
[1860–65; from French; Old French areste sharp ridge; Latin arista awn, ear of wheat]
