My buddy, my friend and bass guitars

bass guitar1I found this word in a moving tribute to Glenn Cornick, the original bass player for Jethro Tull, who passed away on August 28, 2014.

Bonhomie is a noun meaning “a feeling of friendliness among a group of people”.
Used in a sentence: “One revels in the bonhomie of strangers singing together around a campfire”.

Etymology: First known use was in 1779, from French (bonhomie, from bonhomme: good-natured man, from bon= good + home= man)
