Conservation Success Stories of 2015

The National Wildlife Federation had some heartwarming conservation successes in 2015, including:

grizzly with cubs

The adoption of 100,000 acres of land in Wyoming, home to grizzlies and bighorn sheep, as permanent wildlife areas.



striped bass

The restoration of the Great Marsh in New England, home to rare bird species like the salt marsh sparrows, piping plovers and terns, as well as nursery grounds for lobsters, herring and striped bass.


bisonThe restoration of bison to tribal lands in Nebraska and Montana, where there are now free-ranging for the first time in many generations.
