Open Forum 12/13/16

misc-word1I’ll be at a seminar for a couple of days, so I’m leaving this column as an open forum. Please add your fun words, questions, comments and fun facts, and I’ll OK them this afternoon! To the Bards!

  1. Diane,
Amethyst is also one of my favourite stones. Below is my post for Sundays

Australia which is the world’s largest island and the smallest continent is also known as the ‘Land of Kangaroos’ as these marsupials are mainly found on this continent. It is also said that there are more kangaroos than humans in Australia.
They are the national symbol of Australia and they are found on postage stamps, coins etc. On the Australian coat of arms the emu and the kangaroo were selected as symbols of Australia to represent the country’s progress, because they always move forwards and never backwards !!!!!

    1. Oooh, I’ve been looking forward to your super interesting posts! Another term for the kangaroo is a “Joey”, and it would neat to know how that nickname came about too.

I forgot to ask about the time difference between India and the US….when should I “open” your column so that it will come out on Sundays?

Thanks for helping out with the blog Sangeetha, as always, I enjoy your posts.

*****If anyone would like to start a column on Saturdays, please outline your idea on this thread so we can get another “voice” involved!****

      TO THE BARDS!
